With the recent completion of house 4 we have been able to take another eight children into our care. We have 5 girls and 3 boys with ages ranging from 20 months to 13 years. Although we do not normally take such a young child his circumstances were dire and we could not ignore his desperate situation. House mother Sor is looking after the children and ensuring they are all settling into their new lives at Kampuchea House without any problems. They are now happily playing with the other children, enjoying regular meals and are very pleased with their new accommodation and clothes. A few of these children came to us with only the ragged clothes on their backs, no shoes or any other possessions. Taking them to the local market to buy their new clothing was quite a humbling experience for those involved as the children were not used to being able to choose their clothes and some interesting colour combinations resulted!
